Founder & CEO 

Wendy is the founder of Health Literacy Now, and a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience across private and public healthcare sectors. Specialising in haematology, oncology, education, and quality management, Wendy’s passion lies in empowering both healthcare professionals and consumers by optimising organisational and personal health literacy, which has been her primary focus for the past five years.

Her work has significantly impacted healthcare access in underserved areas, ranging from harm minimisation programs for vulnerable groups in Australia, to the establishment of a community clinic and the first HIV clinic in a remote Ugandan village.

 Wendy’s international experience extends to consulting for advisory groups and pharmaceutical companies, ensuring patient information meets health literacy standards. She has led the development of internationally recognized competency-based learning modules and continues to champion clear, effective communication in healthcare.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing, and a Master’s in Advanced Practice Nursing. She also has specialized training in health literacy and cultural safety, reinforcing her leadership in this critical field.

At Health Literacy Now, Wendy oversees all work, collaborating with qualified professionals such as graphic designers, subject matter experts, and consumer focus groups to ensure every project meets the highest standards.
